Welcome to Olive Branch House - The ultimate Sonoma wine country escape. Just a little over an hour drive from San Francisco, the house is truly a wine-lover retreat. Perched near the crest of western hills of Sonoma Valley, the house provides a 180-degree panoramic view from Glen Ellen to San Pablo Bay; yet, Sonoma Plaza and the quaint village of Glen Ellen are just a quick 15-minute drive away.Situated on nearly two acres at the end of a long gated driveway, the house provides ample privacy and wine country splendor. Lounge on a large sun-filled view deck or sip wine by one of the many view windows, this is the place to unwind and relax. The three-bedroom, two-bath home has been recently updated with luxuriously remodeled bathrooms, granite counter top kitchen, and Moroccan cherry hardwood flooring. The dining room looks out over Sonoma valley through an 8-ft wide picture window. Every window from the master bedroom provides a bird-eye view of the valley and Mayacama Mountains.
Through the private wrought-iron gate, you will find a long driveway lined with paving stone. The rustic entry door will welcome you at the top of the stair. Once entered, the wide foyer with a sparkling baby-grand player piano will greet you. We have a large collection of classical music disc for the piano if you are not musically inclined. The sunken living room with 12-foot high ceiling opens to the light-filled dining room with wall-to-wall windows providing panorama of Sonoma valley. On this level, you will find a classic-modern remodeled bath with Carrera white marble. The library guest bedroom is furnished with rich cherry-wood bookshelves and a handsome and comfortable wall bed. The library room opens to a sun-filled deck that provides an uphill view of pasture and ancient oaks. The second guest bedroom is furnished with rustic country pines furniture. It steps out on the large main deck that provides hill and valley view. Up the split-level is a cozy entertainment room with a 42-inch flat screen TV equipped with cable TV and Amazon TV. The sleeper sofa in the entertainment room folds out to a queen bed. Adjacent to the entertainment room is the fully equipped chef kitchen. The breakfast nook has glass walls with view of the hills and oak trees. The entire second level is the spacious master suite with travertine bath. The 2-person Jacuzzi bathtub looks out to the pine trees and Mayacama Mountains. The large shower and his-and-her pedestal sinks complete the luxurious bath. The master bedroom opens to a light-filled sunroom with breath-taking bird-eye view of Sonoma Valley.
The expansive deck wraps around the house and offers your choice of views--open pasture with old-growth oaks or Sonoma valley. A gas grill and an outdoor dining set with parasol gives you the option to have a BBQ meal al fresco.Conveniently situated near many prestigious wineries of Sonoma Valley and Sonoma Plaza, the house is a perfect launch point for your wine country adventure. On the other hand, if you chose to stay in to take in the view in splendid sunshine, your ethereal wine country experience will be equally unforgettable.
